President Sirisena hosts Iftar ceremony at Presidential Palace

President Maithripala Sirisena hosted an Iftar ceremony on Tuesday, July 7, at the Presidential Palace.

Iftar is the evening meal when Muslims end their daily Ramadan fast at sunset. This event was organised for Muslims in Sri Lanka who along with the global Muslim community are engaged in the fast during this holy month of Ramadan.

Speaking at the event, the president said he hopes for unity and co-existence among the communities.
